Found out about NearlyFreeSpeech.NET which for low bandwidth personal hosting is really nice. My other domain has been there for the past 2 months and I never had a problem, SSH access! Not to mention that it's "nearly free", the quality of their service is excellent. I've cruised all over to find a good message board software for ChicagoLUG but I cant seem to find something simple enough to fit our needs, for the wiki I think we're going to use DokuWiki which seems good.
Going back to my PHP discussion I know that 80% of PHP software out there is completely messy, thats because PHP coders aren't good programmers (me included) and with PHP simple manipulation you can easily end up screwing up the structure. But if you're a good programmer and understand how easily powerful it can be you might end up with a good instrument to build a perfect web application.
